Civilised Cars are pleased to announce we are now an accredited CPC Training Centre in South London. We start our courses with immediate effect and recommend all of our drivers to enrol in order to receive your Driver Qualification Card and CPC Certification.
What Is CPC Driver Certification and Who Needs It?
Under a new European Union Directive, professional bus, coach and lorry drivers need to hold a Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) in addition to a vocational driving licence. Any drivers of lorries over 3.5 tonnes and minibuses with 9 seats or more must usually obtain a Driver CPC.
At Civilised Car Hire we aim to train all our drivers to a standard of excellence and this course will cover 5 topics:
- Laws of the Road
- Driving Efficiently
- The Importance of Customer Service
- Dealing with On-road Occurrences
- Tachograph Regulations

The cost of the Driver CPC Training at our South London Training Centre is £65 per 7-hour course. Each driver must complete all courses (totalling 35 hours) to gain the CPC and DQC entitlement.
